This is the first episode of Re;Lord, the one game from Es;cude I didn’t want to be the first localized from them. Reason being this is their only episodic game and I would prefer to not touch those if I can help it. Also it looks like a clicker. But surprisingly it ended up being a pretty decent game.
Story
One day three witches descend upon a territory in the demon world/country. They win, and turn the people of the territory into different things. In this game, its stuffed animals. They are the only beings who can use magic, an art lost to the ages that most have forgotten and none have a way to defend against it, except for Wilfried. An extremist that has an agenda with a father complex that loves capes to much. He figures out how to block and absorb magic with the help of his fellow student Ria who was turned into a fairy doll. Knowing their country has turned their backs on the them, Wil goes with Ria to reconquer the land by defeating the witches and rescue his beloved(masochistic and worthless) father.
For how serious the above is, it’s mostly a comedy. The witches in this game are barely villains. One is an accident prone nice girl, the other is a lazy girl who hates terrorism. They are used as jokes as much as threats.
Because this is episode 1, I have no idea where the plot goes beyond some foreshadowing they give, but it looks like the series takes a pretty serious turn later.
Gameplay
Action rpg I guess? You click and hold to cast and can move around the screen to hit more areas. You have two elements, fire which is grid based for aiming so no diagonals and is the stronger attack element, and wind which is a straight line attack but good for ripping clothes. The tutorial mentions a third element, neutral, but it is just the boss fight extra where once you fill a gauge you get basically a machine gun to do clothe damage. if you right click you block and if you block with the right timing you receive 0 damage. You don’t get mp back when guarding though so you have to manage resources constantly. Should I guard to block damage, do nothing to get mp back or cast? Then you get friend actions which give you a heal, a screen attack, and a slow enemies and give you infinite mana for a bit skill.
Map movement involves placing tetris like blocks on available ground. Whatever your block covers is the event for that turn. You can find chests that have more blocks, fight enemies for xp, trigger events and a few other things. Every couple of turns the map boss will come over and fight you at a far weaker state then they will be when you get to them properly. Don’t worry about losing a fight, as you regain any resources you lost. You just lose the piece you used to make that move and one turn. Every map is on a constant time limit but they are all mostly generous.
It’s mostly fun and a bit to easy at the start. It can get boring as combat doesn’t change up very often, but since the game is short most people shouldn’t suffer the fatigue.
H and Other stuff
This game might have the weirdest and most difficult way to get a cum outside option of any game I’ve ever played. So when you go to fight the witches for their proper boss fights, you have to destroy their clothes to get a quick win. If you just do what you need to you’ll get a cum inside scene every time. To get the outside, you need to destroy every piece of clothing they are wearing. This includes boots/stockings and any earrings they are wearing(especially in the final fight with Erika. She has two earrings but only one can be hit normally. The other only during guard break and it blends in with her hair.) The exception to all of that is Fine’s second fight where the state of her underwear is very important. Normally you get an anal scene here, but if you destroy another level you get normal vaginal and then if everything is destroyed you get the other cum location from vaginal.
Okay, mini walkthrough over,the game only has four scenes. Two per witch. Both busty. As for content it’s kinda rapey? It plays like a Rance scene where the girl has something for the guy but won’t admit it and the guy is having sex for himself(in this case because his dad taught him something stupid.) None of the girls really get mad, just embarrassed, its kinda weird. Anyway, the first scene for either girl is feeling her up to vaginal, then the second is the girl doing some foreplay to vaginal(or anal for Fine if you don’t do enough clothes destruction).
The gallery, because of how the clothes states decides h scene images is very weird. Instead of getting every cg that exists you get up to three sets for any scene. It’s like quick saves for the scene where the girl has the amount of clothing she had when you won, and only those three sets are in the gallery at any time. So its impossible to have every cg in the gallery at once.
Verdict and Save
I enjoyed this a lot more then I expected. It had a very funny opening chapter and the combat while tedious near the end was enjoyable for most of the game, especially when hunting for cgs at the end. If it was a complete game I would tell anyone to play this, but since it’s only chapter 1 and the others aren’t announced and if they are will take probably about 3 years to be released, I wouldn’t jump on this game if you want the full experience. It is fun and funny, and the protagonist despite his flaws is a good character that I want to see grow out of his nonsense. Let’s just stick with its good. Hopefully the other two chapters still have comedy because they look a lot more serious. Also, if you want an h scene with Ria(the main girl/fairy), she never has one from what I can tell. The only girls Wil bangs are the witches.
Oh, and the ten dollar adult patch is a complete joke. We’re talking about 30~ minutes of content for 10 bucks versus a couple of hours for ten. Talk about making people pay a premium.
Save has NG+ save ready for any difficulty. All extras unlocked, all difficulties unlocked, all cgs unlocked in some form(with two locked per scene so all cgs/scene versions are always viewable in some form), and on the second page of saves boss fight saves if you want to get different levels of undress for the scenes.

Fortunately, the second part should be released probably late 2021 now. From what I’ve heard, while the second does have some comedy, it’s probably a fair bit less and everything starts to become serious.
I’ve looked at the cgs, and I figured the series loses its charm to go full dark by the end. Which is a pity as the comedy is one of its few strengths.
Oh yes, it’s a very bitter sweet ending, with few surviving.
I’ve always found the comedy was quite subtle for the most, mainly used to mask the darker aspects and to show a characters personality.
