[Ecchi… Not really]Master Detective Archives: Rain Code+

For the sake of my play a bunch of ecchi game genre things, I’m counting this as multi game, aka a game with a bunch of different genre’s mashed up in it. In reality, I played this as an excuse to talk about Danganronpa since I feel I had to bring up the franchise eventually.

As for Rain Code itself, it’s a detective story with the hot, puffy Shinigami-chan who jiggles around as you solve murders.

[Ecchi]Mafia 3 Definitive Edition

I didn’t intend to actually play this… The collectibles were spread through the world intead of specific story missions like in 2. So I thought I could just go and grab them all and be set. Turns out 90% or so can be just grabbed right away, but a few require story progress to access the buildings. One of those story missions being the final one, so I still had to beat the game.

Reason I wanted to avoid this was partially what I’ve heard. Fans of Mafia 2 that I’ve seen generally don’t care for 3 as much. The two are very different games design and story wise. Mafia 2 was a serious take on being in the mafia, the glitz and life ruining stuff just being a part of it. 3 is a roaring rampage where you basically play a terminator out for revenge with the mafia just being both the target and your source of cash. As a game, 3 is better to me. 2 taking your stuff away 2 or 3 times just makes it less fun, though I will admit it had more meat to its story then what 3’s protag has.

Also another real-life softcore thing was another goal I had this year, so here we are. Open world game, I won’t be going into the race stuff, just the game itself.

Apostle: Rebellion

H Scene Count- 50

Created by kamichichi, translated by Kagura Games

Length- Story is like 4-6, with side content 7-9.

A cyperpunk distant sequel to Apostle. Same body types, mostly the same gameplay. Other then the aesthetic, it is a very faithful sequel.

This might be the most expensively made RPG Maker game I’ve seen to date. Videos’ of the town in 3D, dynamic camera and animations in h scenes along with voice acting, the amount of what felt like unique tile sets, and ads for other games(mostly from Kagura Games, which made sense and helped the Neon ads thing cyberpunk should have). Not that I can say the money went to the right things, but there was definitely a very high budget for this.

[Ecchi]Summer Pockets: Reflection Blue

What if Key decided to do a best of all their route ideas and writing stuff, and combined into a VN themed around summer and memories? That’s Summer Pockets. Reflection Blue adds like 4 routes to that, so it’s the best way to experience Key. In my opinion.

Miss Naughty Mind

Some would say this is just a VN, but Key’s later stuff have a few too many game elements, optional though they may be, for me to just lump them with plain visual novels. Kinda like how Kara no Shoujo or Hollow Ataraxia got posts, so do the later Key stuff deserve full dedicated posts. But yeah, it is a VN.

[Ecchi]FOXEye Limited Games Collection

FOXEye is a doujin circle of a single person I found out about just looking around the net. He’s one of those people I just respect because he looked at what was being made, found that no one was making what he liked, and made it himself for himself and like minded people. What does he like? Women doing things underwater. Swimming, exploring, lazying about, and of all thingd drowning. That last one is something I can definitely understand people not liking, so I feel I need to note it. Drowning and sexy are not usually things people like to combine. From what I experienced here, he tends to up the barbie doll like nudity(the few times a full boob is shown there is no nipple) as he ups how frantic and out of air the girls are. Each game has at least one set of images that do this, though for people who just want sexy there are far more that have nothing to do with drowning.

Every Christmas Eve for 5 years straight, FOXEye put up a new short game for a single day. On the sixth year, he redid the art for those games and released them in a bundle and that’s what this is. These include both the xmas version and the new art version, and both need to be beaten to get all the art unlocks. Or you can open the manual and put in a code from there to skip playing. I didn’t do that. So I played this minigame collection, twice each to completion.
