[Ecchi]Gal Gun Series

A shooter series with a light focus on ecchi and a big focus on humor, Gal Gun is one of the more unique games in the ecchi lineup. Each game features a high schooler suddenly getting immensely popular one day and needing to fend off hordes of girls while searching for his true love or risk being single for the rest of his life. In a way it’s a lesson on not taking the easy route through romance, in another way its a silly excuse for (kinda)attractive female zombies.

The Gal Gun series numbering is silly. You have the first game, just called Gal Gun on the PSP. That one is being remade and its new subtitle is Returns. Then you have Double Piece, the first English release. The third game is the VR game, simply called Gal Gun VR. Then you have Gal Gun 2, the fourth game in the series which is mostly just Gal Gun VR without the VR(and maybe a different story?).

I’m going to start with Double Peace as it was the first English release. Returns will be done after it comes out in short order to get what little word out that I can as its sales are very important to the ecchi market. Then 2 will happen when I get to it. VR isn’t happening for now. I don’t have a VR headset and not enough games require one that I want to play to make me consider getting one.

[Ecchi]SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy

SNK’s latest attempt at a panty fighter, SNK Heroines is a fighting game that definitely feels like it suffers from an identity crisis. It is at both times a celebration of some of SNK’s most famous female characters and a sexy fighting game and these don’t end up working together for a few reasons, though the problems go deeper then just that.

The game needed more of this stuff

This is the first fighting game I decided to do for the blog for a few reasons. First, I’m horrible at fighting games and I knew this one was short on content and casual focused(which is actually part of the problem). Second, ignoring Soul Calibur and DOA this is the only panty fighter from a near triple A dev we have seen in a few years(in English at least). Third, the game is very obviously suppose to be a sexy fighting game so instead of going with a fighter with sexy on the side I wanted one that sexy was a focus. To bad the game has a bad case of having no idea what it really wants to be.

[Ecchi]FOXEye Limited Games Collection

FOXEye is a doujin circle of a single person I found out about just looking around the net. He’s one of those people I just respect because he looked at what was being made, found that no one was making what he liked, and made it himself for himself and like minded people. What does he like? Women doing things underwater. Swimming, exploring, lazying about, and of all thingd drowning. That last one is something I can definitely understand people not liking, so I feel I need to note it. Drowning and sexy are not usually things people like to combine. From what I experienced here, he tends to up the barbie doll like nudity(the few times a full boob is shown there is no nipple) as he ups how frantic and out of air the girls are. Each game has at least one set of images that do this, though for people who just want sexy there are far more that have nothing to do with drowning.

Every Christmas Eve for 5 years straight, FOXEye put up a new short game for a single day. On the sixth year, he redid the art for those games and released them in a bundle and that’s what this is. These include both the xmas version and the new art version, and both need to be beaten to get all the art unlocks. Or you can open the manual and put in a code from there to skip playing. I didn’t do that. So I played this minigame collection, twice each to completion.
