RPG Maker MV game. Corruption themed. Overall a decent game.

Story

You are Luna, a mercenary with a strong sense of Justice! She learns of a village that gets attacked by monsters daily and since her town won’t help, badgers the lord of the town and gets permission to go scout the place and try to help. After a horrendous welcome to the place, she eventually gets captured and the real (standard) corrupt noble plot starts. Honestly the story is actually probably the highlight. There’s some effort with motivations and plotting and it keeps moving at a decent pace until you get to the grinding bit. This is apparently the first in a series and it ends pretty well.

Gameplay

Mostly standard RPG Maker. Combat wise it’s very basic, to the point they give you an auto battle option that you might as well use since you aren’t going to use your small skill pool very often until near the end of the game. Your few naturally learned spells either don’t do enough more to be worth it, or are just to expensive for repeated casting without chugging potions.

The game has an early stealth segment where you need to dodge guard sight lines. Problem is, the place is way to big. Guards can take a whole minute to go from one side of their patrol to another so if you get unlucky with your timing, this segment can take a long time of you just sitting there, doing nothing since you can’t progress until they get to where you need them. Definitely the weakest part of the game.

The biggest stand out thing is this game locks things behind character level. At first I thought it was just armor and weapons to control stats which is fine(though you can upgrade gear at the smithy using money and items to make them equivalent of the next tier). It makes a more balanced experience in theory. Then I figured out story progression is level locked. When I finally got to proper free roam/do what I want part of the game I had to grind 4 levels to continue the plot. You do get a request/side quest bit to help with this but only one of the quests is the right level to be done and I needed to do it 3 times to gain the levels I needed. The only good thing with this mechanic is they let you set up quick travel to the start of the sidequest dungeons after you do them once which cuts some of the annoying travel(mostly the process of leaving the main base) out of the grind. It’s not a deal breaker but it’s not fun, especially since this game is trying to tell a story. H Scenes also don’t give you xp, just money, which means they don’t help you progress unlike other games in this style.

Your last equip slot is cards which are from a  gatcha machine. Basically you throw some money into a machine and get a random card which has some skill or stat bonus. There’s way more cards then needed and for some reason they list a rarity even though they are all commons. They have illustrations you can check out in a book in the key items slot. Not porn images, but some nice art I guess. Not worth the process of getting them all. A small amount of them are traded for others or found from monsters and chests.

H and Other stuff

So early on you protect this village from some orcs. If you lose a fight you get used in front of the whole village and instead of pity, they mock you as the orcs go at it. Then that night a few villagers come to your shack they put you in and use you through the night only for you to be put out to fight the orcs the next day. That’s the flavor this game uses. Most scenes are demeaning and once you get the slave brand the game’s title refers to, even selling yourself ends with rude comments and being treated like trash. Scenes are voiced for the female and of an okay length.

As for unique fetishes, there’s gangbang, prostitution(each with a normal and lewd version), corruption, tentacles, and torture devices. Generally it’s either a monster attacking you or her sleeping with someone for money.

Verdict and Save

Good. Pretty basic overall but other then the mandatory grinding, not a lot of issues. Porn’s to much for me with the voice acting and slow skipping, but I’m sure it appeals to someone. Plot was presented well enough and took some steps I wasn’t expecting. One of the best things Kagura Games has brought over so far.

Save has all scenes in the gallery unlocked and all the gatcha cards in the album in your inventory. Right in front of the end boss.

  1. Decided to give this a try because of the comments I saw on the f95 page for Divine Miko Koyori, saying that this game is better than Koyori. And that’s true, it is definitely constructed better, but the basic idea is still the same. I personally can’t really get into it if the MC are just so not enjoying it and all the other characters are bastards- haven’t finished it yet but the villager stuff and Leon’s willingness to throw you at the soldiers just rubbing me the wrong way.

Are there multiple endings? To be honest, I’ll probably just go back to an earlier save, skip all the H-scenes, and finish with a cheat because I’m more interested in the story than the H-scenes.

On another note, do you have some recs with a more willing/dumb MC along the lines of Elise the Devil and Noja Loli Kitsune Kohaku? I want to play something where it is the MC’s decisions that push the corruption stuff as opposed to because everyone is just being mean to the MC.

    • I think it has two endings, perv and virgin. Honestly Slave Sword isn’t really good in any way.

As for a game with a willing corruption… Married Warrior Emma isn’t really against it at any point. Gran Ende’s heroine does it out of necessity if I remember right. Nikubenki Quest is a weird not corruption but everyone says it is game.
A lot of corruption games follow the idea that all guys are assholes, so i can’t think of many where the girl willingly degrades herself without the guys acting like pure assholes and making it happen.

      • Hm… what about where it’s viewed more as a necessity like in Princesses Never Loses and IIRC Dark Elf Historia where they can willingly use sex as an alternative to fighting?

        And thanks for the recs.

      • Rhode’s Fortress becomes that. The first few scenes are the guy being a dick but soon after the girl starts using her sexuality to overthrow the guy and save her friends and comrades. It’s one of the rare ones where the girl uses her sexuality as part of the plot. Then there’s Princess project, where the protagonist is such an idiot she jumps to the conclusion that having sex with her subjects will make her a popular ruler. It’s corruption is light but does exist.
I can’t think of any others. Honestly I’ve been avoiding corruption games for a while now so there’s probably more, but I’ve gotten sick of how samey they tend to be. Even the actual good games with corruption like Ariadne have the exact same scene types and excuses for porn and I’ve just gotten tired of that.

    • Link is fixed. I tried to switch to another place at one point for file hosting and some links still point there even though they tossed all my files. I just fix links as they are reported.
