It’s such a silly title. Why is it a fun game?

So yeah, I played this engrish titled game and had some fun, so I’m going to talk about it for a bit.

In a quick summary, I’d call it a 2D souls like with light ecchi and is very anime.

I’m going to start with the ecchi stuff, since it’s actually a bit front loaded which sets up some expectations that don’t get delivered. The game starts and pretty quickly the lead is seen actually putting on her 78 year old grandmothers school uniform that is in pristine condition. You get a few shots of that, and next up you meet Yurika, the adult female of the game. She looks in all honesty like she’s about to be gangraped by zombies. After saving her you learn about the clothes ripping mechanic, which gives you some atk up so it does have a point. Then you meet a few survivors, with the first optional one being a busty girl with only a tube top, hot pants, and an apron as clothing. Then there is no fanservice until a ripped dress cg, then nothing. There is no other real fanservice in the game. So those who would actually play only for that, ignore this. That’s all you’d get out of it.

The thing is, the game itself is actually good, so even without more ecchi it was fun to keep playing until I finished it. It had a very anime silly vibe to it, what with the over the top weapons the main character wields like they are made of paper. Plenty of options to. Axes, different weighted swords, chainsaws, a guitar, and more. Plus different gun types and launcher type weapons. You get one melee, one gun, and one launcher at any time, and you switch at save points. Each has a limit in how many swings/shots you get that also reload at save points, which are also the only place to heal. Between saves you run through the map and get into enforced fights with your goal being to last through the waves until you reach the next save point. Eventually you get to the next plot point and you are pointed at the next objective. There’s also souvenirs and people to find that give you small stat ups when you find them, and they are usually hidden behind hard fights or puzzles on side paths.

The game is actually challenging, though its hard to tell how much of that is due to bad design or level based damage(it feels like this is a thing, but it might not be). It flows well, and the weapons feel very different and usually fun to use. There’s some bad points, like boss 2 is just bull for when you fight him and the aiming with a controller for the guns is very unreliable. Overall its a fun game though.

The story is the silliest part. Hisako, our protag, is part of the third generation of humans since they went underground from the mutants. No one remembers living on the surface anymore, but the newest generation really wants to go back. After hearing about the concept of school from her grandma(which is the only thing she remembers about the surface), Hisako dons her grandmothers school uniform and sets out to save other teens and get to the surface and go to school with friends. Because Hisako, being the daughter of the chief of her underground group, is ostracized by the other kids. Soon enough she gathers a few adults to guide her as she saves people and learns the truth of her world. Robots. And mutants. It’s a silly plot that is very anime silly.

Save has the full movie/image gallery full and everything collected. The only thing left is the boss refights which give you pointless stat ups.
