Unity made sequel to a Unity shooter I played years ago. Looks better, has more side stuff, and I guess is the better game.

Story

So a few years after the first game, the three heroines of that game have built a shelter for people to live in. It’s in a sewer. Anyway, you are a refugee who shows up there, hearing about how it’s safe. You ignore the guided tour and Hikari shows up, the pink one who is also the leader of this place. After a pep talk the other two girls show up and suddenly there is an increased number of zombies in town and the group all agree to go check out what’s happening. Including the guy who was depressed 2 minutes ago.

Arriving on scene they find Ichika, the new girl for this game. After a stand off she kinda joins the group and but won’t explain anything for two levels, at which point she starts revealing the story.

Her brother was looking for a cure for the zombie thing, using much more dangerous stuff then the first game’s vaccine would end up being made of. Do to this, once word got out of the working vaccine, the people of the brother’s shelter shunned him. He got angry and injected a lot more stuff into himself, turning him into an intelligent zombie thing. Now he wants to make everyone this. Ichika wants to stop him. That’s the entire plot. Lots of anime and friendship in there two, which does not work with NTR or sex zombie stuff, but okay. There is no sex in the main story, probably because 18+ is a patch and not on Steam. So all ages friendly story.

Gameplay

So before I talk about the shooting I want to mention I played the game in the all ages form until the final level before realizing I needed a patch for the 18+ content. No idea what I was thinking. Anyway, there is some gameplay differences I wanted to note.

First, the all ages version has less content, period. It has the VN like segments with the porn cutout, most of the unlocked rooms have no purpose, there is way less items to buy, no minigames, and the unique zombies play differently. I want to focus on that last one first.

So most of the unique zombies have sex animations with the girls. So if you play the all ages version, they just attack constantly instead. This makes what are usually stationary bullet sponges into something of a threat as they move around between targets. Specifically, the tentacle shooter is completely different in play. In the porn version he attacks once, grapples and highlights himself as all the uniques do when they trigger their animations, and just stands there to die. In the all ages release, he just keeps shooting his tongue out, and it is the second most damaging thing for the girls in the game. The only unique more dangerous is the cock head troll thing, and he’s suppose to be hard to fight regardless. Do note that if you play all ages, the only way to game over is for the player to die or failing objectives the rare times they come up. In 18+, if the girls fall and get zombie done long enough it’s game over. This makes the all ages version way easier as there is no chance of a girl getting thrown at you, ending up in the ceiling somehow, and sticking there until you game over(this happened to me on my first try of the final boss.)

As for the actual game, it’s mostly the same as the original Seed of the Dead with a lot of new side content and a change so that every area is A to B travel instead of horde combat. Hordes still show up based on an(invisible) in game timer, and some missions have points where you stop and wait for something to happen while fighting hordes, but each mission has traversal through the town. A lot more then the original.

You can level now, which only affects skill unlocks and slots. XP is based on kill count, with super zombies and headshots giving more. Higher difficulties multiply the amount and later levels also have higher multipliers. This xp is also converted into money when you finish a stage, which you use to buy skills(a very redudent system), and items from the item lady. For the most part, the only items worth buying are girl customization items like clothing and body sliders. Because of how the game works, to 100% you need to replay the last two levels a couple of times and if you pick up items while doing that you will never need gifts or materials.

Gifts are used to boost girl affection, which both locks there VN scenes/h scenes and is how they level up. It’s basically xp for them. Materials are used to add more rooms to the home base portion of the game, most of which are used for more h scenes(3 for minigames. You give them specific gifts to trigger these and these have h scene unlock items locked in them).

The reason you need to replay the last two levels is the only full body costumes in the game are hidden in level 7 and 8. In 7 it’s during the very end horde fight, a little gift box will show up for like 20 seconds, kill it for an item. Level 8 has the only split paths thing in the game, and it’s decided for you when you load the level which of three ways you go. Each path has a different costume. You need for of each costume for each girl. Not fun, but does make the gift and money grinding for everything have a purpose to go along with it, and reverse bunny girl is an amazing costume.

H and Other stuff

Let’s get the NTR out of the way first. So technically all sex in this is NTR because you play a different guy from the original game, so besides the new girl you are not the partner to any of the the other girls. I guess they just don’t consider the main character of 1 their lover since he barely comes up. Anyway, all NTR is controllable. You actually have to replay chapters to trigger the scenes since you need to complete fetch quests to get the content. You can even turn it off easily. It is worth doing for 100% for obviously the scenes and because it gives free 1 million point items to all the girls. The tattoos, the collar, and the blindfold I think?

Anyway, as for the exact stuff. All the NTR dudes have bigger dicks is basically the core. Hikari gets blackmailed, Kirara gets bribed, Aya is testing a sex drug, and Ichika loses a gaming match. That’s basically how they all work. Add in the sex virus stuff and really any dude can apparently get these girls.

For the other content, you have the zombie animations from the first game with 1 or two new ones. The healing animations. 3 minigames; two of which end in the girl masturbating, and about 4 scenes with each girl and two threesomes.

Animations scenes tend to have a couple of different loops in them and progress as the player wants. There’s items to change body size(boob and butt), some colors, and outfits you can get, and an item to let you hear there internal voice. So what they are thinking of while having sex. I like the concept of this, I just wish it wasn’t the obvious “I love dick!” kind of thoughts the entire time. NTR does not get the internal voice stuff.

Verdict

I didn’t know this had NTR until I was on chapter 8 of 8, other wise I might have skipped this. Anyway, shooter h games are rare. This is decent, if buggy and choppy because Unity is a bad engine for people who have no idea what they are doing.

Anyway, animations are fine and have multiple phases, which is rare. The story and VN girl stories are whatever, though I guess it is different to see a thing kind of they found the cure and ruined someone else’s life and this is the consequence thing in a zombie story. I like the character models, they upped all the girls sizes since the last game, and since it has been a few years that makes sense.

Not really worth playing, but I enjoy different so I enjoyed myself for the most part.

Note: this was played in version 1.4, which broke the replay mode in the guy’s room. I think that’s where the zombie scenes and just animations are, but you can replay all the other scenes by talking to the girls.
