Legend of Queen Opala(LOQO) was a strange game when I first found it. It was both my first made in English h-game that was not flash, and my first rpg maker experience. I am kind of glad this was my first since the content was good and complete, unlike many other rpg maker games I could have started with.
Story
Story-wise, the game is simple. You play a guy named Jack who came to Egypt to see/sleep with the beautiful Queen. Through a strange series of events you do this and soon after you are placed on a route select question, follow the evil sister of the queen or stay good. Both of these routes feature very different events, but the end goal of both ends the same. The majority of actual game content in this game is after the story though where legendary monsters appear in the land and all the blocked places open up to explore.
Gameplay
Gameplay is simple turn based battles. You can recruit party members(no one joins you in the story) by pain them, and there’s a day night system too. The combat though shows why I dislike rpg maker combat. Physical attacks do great the entire game, but magic becomes worthless. Around the end of the game magic scales horribly and stops doing any real damage, making all 3 mage characters worthless for any thing other then buffs. This is a common complaint I have in rpg maker where magic starts a bit stronger then physical but because of equipment, growths, and skills magic ends up becoming worthless because a normal attack deals more then your strongest spell.
This game is also part collecta-thon. There are 53 pieces of art spread throughout the game to find and look at whenever you want. Also a special item called the Eye of Horus that you can find and use that makes enemies more visible with each use. Which I should note it feels like random encounters until you use one or two Eyes of Horus and then you see all the monsters to avoid or fight as you please. Also, you can buy a house in the game to mount special pictures and hire people to work in, but other then a few sex girls all of it is just cosmetic.
The game allows you to replay the entire game, which you need to do to find the last legendary monsters and play the other story to get any remaining h-scenes. You will miss one scene no matter how you play, so the creator made the final extra boss drop an item that unlocks all the scenes.
It’s overall easy once you realize buffs are strong and mages are weak. The evil path is harder on the first run due to where it puts you and your limited party, and the first legendaries will be a pain to defeat. But once you get some better weapons and a have fought a few legendaries the rest become a joke. Though if you turn the game to night normal encounters do get harder. As for the day night system, other then a few npcs locations, locked buildings, monsters there is no other changes.
H scenes and other things
As for the porn, I love the writing. I have no idea why but it is some of my favorite h-scene writing ever. The art in the scenes is hit or miss, if you hate or are tired of the anime style of everything else this game uses a completely different art style, with boobs that are way to big for some people. I myself don’t really care for the art, but some do prefer it. The game covers fetishes like gangbang, bestiality, rape, monster rape and yet 2 of the girls will always end up enjoying themselves. Only one scene sticks out in my mind where the girl does not enjoy it.
Now the voice scenes are strange. Each of the three royals(Opala the Queen. Osira her evil sister. And Farah their mother with a huge sexual appetite and a bust to match.) have three voice only scenes unlocked depending on ending. Then there is the sex dream demon that also has 3, and the Pleasure Joker(a reward in postgame) has 3 to herself as well. To trigger these just talk to the girls and choose the one you want. These are in English by the way, and have the girls talk out loud for about 1-2 minutes.
Save contains all collectibles, all scenes repayable including voice scenes.
To replay scenes, go into your inventory, down past the illustrations, and use the book of illustrations and it will replay the scenes in order based on girl. For the voiced scenes, talk to any of the girls in the room you start in except the maid. For the other one, go into the bed and go dream to find the sex demon.
