Orc Strike is an Rpg Maker VX game where you play as an orc named Gregory, bent on getting revenge for humans destroying their kindgom. He needs to repopulate the kingdom and so goes town to town, taking over and taking the women for himself. The women are mostly characters from anime and manga.
Story
Gregory is the one eyed general, the toughest orc general from the war. He loses to Gilgamesh(from Fate Stay Night), and then hears that Lelouch(from Code Geass) has killed the orc king. Gregory drags his body away when they are distracted and we skip forward a few months, when humans have came to live on the island under the hero from Dragon Quest 4.
Gregory, who is level 1 due to injuries and laziness, goes out to the world and finds Forman, a big warrior from the orc army. After freeing Forman from his slave owners, they go around taking towns to reclaim their kingdom while raping girls to repopulate their race.
They can meet a dark elf who joins, but she is technically optional even though the sequel would make no sense without her, since from what I can tell the lead from Orc Strike 2 is Gregory and the dark elf’s kid. Beating the game without her is also far to much of a challenge.
Gameplay
The game plays as a basic RPG Maker, with a focus on loot. Equipment is very useful as they gives resists, stat ups, sometimes skills and other benefits. You don’t get money, and without the mage you have no healing so you have to farm enemies to get healing items, which thankfully the game has a bestiary to tell you who drops what at what rate. You fight enemies to get their drops/steal from them and level up. If you get gameover you lose all your equipment which can set you back a lot.
The three characters fit into very obvious roles. Gregory is a tank/leader with group buffs and a skill to make all enemies attack him. Forman is the damage dealer with the steal skill. The dark elf is the mage who deals most of your damage and is your healer. Trying to have the characters play outside these roles make the game stupidly hard as only Gregory can take a hit, and he can deal no damage. The other two are worthless for anything other then damage or throwing healing around.
The game is decently hard, though that came from me not using the cover skill until later. Once you start using everyone in the right role, only two things are dangerous. Hit alls and status effects. Any move that hits the whole party hits Gregory three times, and with magic that will toast him. Status effects like stun, paralysis, and sleep make Gregory worthless and the other two will die in less then 4 hits. The hit all thing can be fixed, status effect thing can’t. For all the equipment in the game, none of them make you immune to status effects so some fights can go from complete wins to a loss just because of a single stun.
All encounters are random on the map, and in towns once you trigger the war segments. When you enter a town and talk to the guard you can choose to wage war against the town. This will trigger a fight, and then random encounters will start until you defeat the town’s leader. Before war you can scope out the town to find the girl’s to rape and the town’s leader. Once you defeat the leader random encounters will stop, the girls you didn’t rape will disappear, and any merchants will give you free items.
Most of the girls are found in towns, but a few are random encounters in the field. People in town will tend to mention if any girls are around the area, but other then that clue you have nothing to know there are girls there. Luckily, at the end of the game once you take every town, a tower will unlock with every girl in the game to unlock every scene. Once you defeat a girl and get her scene she is sent to your cave where you started where you can replay her scene.
H scenes and other things
All but three scenes are rape of some form. Sometimes it will be NTR, sometimes it will be humiliation, and other times it will be gangrape. Scenes are voiceless and most will include attempts at impregnation. Most of the girls are from manga and anime, such as 3 Madoka Characters, Saber from Fate Stay Night, Azusa from K-on, and Karen and C.C. from Code Geass among others.
The art is fine, but every scene has an orc in it, which is definitely a turn off to some. Their is some attempt to keep the girls original personalities. The writing is decent at keeping the orcs and the girls personalities alive, though the translation has some awkward wording. The biggest issue I have is that a number of the girl’s are generic, not from anything and I feel that is a waste. There are several scenes that are just hair recolor’s of the generic girls.
I also feel the art is lacking polish or shine, like the color’s are to dull. Maybe it’s just me though.
The game has several unique sprites and battle images, but music and tile sets are generic RPG maker.
Orc Strike is a fairly normal RPG. It does little to stand out, but does everything well enough that I have no real complaints. It’s an alright RPG overall. The main reason to play or not to play depends on your attitude to seeing characters from your favorite series being raped by pig orcs. If you just want to see Saber get rammed by a pig orc, you will probably enjoy the game some. If you hate that, there is no amount of good design that makes the game good. The story is almost throwaway since it goes nowhere for the sake of its sequel and like I said, this is a very basic RPG, like Dragon Quest 2 but with less nostalgia and better art.
Save contains full bestiary(including one monster I had to add to the game to fight), all scenes(plus an item(Growth Stimulant) that increases the dark elf bust for her two scenes), and you can see the ending if you teleport to the town of Coatberry and enter it.
