Haramikko Tamer Aria

H-Scene Count- 15
Created by tsukudani1, translated by Joe007
Length- 2-4 hours

This is an RPGMaker VXAce game that pretends to be Pokemon, poorly. Sex to give birth to your monsters to do battle against other monsters.

Story

Become the best like no one ever was.

Its a world where women can become monster tamers by giving birth to monsters. So of course they build a tournament league in a backwater town surrounded by a forest, a water cave, and a volcano to have people test their children against each other. Like its not just using animals to fight each other, they are having their kids beat each other up to prove how good they are at having monster babies. Which honestly sounds like a much better game on paper…

Anyway, this is a Pokemon clone without any team X around. Its just you, a rival, and the Elite Four in your back yard. No plot. Just have your kids prove you are better at beating up other people’s kids.

Gameplay

It pretends to be Pokemon, poorly. Trainers stand around but you have to talk to them to fight them. There’s an update that gives them sight lines(but the English version didn’t use that version) but they still respawn after leaving the screen. I honestly think this a case of the creator didn’t know about self switches and thought Erase Event was good enough. Anyway, combat is bad. Aria has a turn but use items or use a healing move and that’s it. She can’t attack or anything. This makes the beginning really slow as you have Aria and a Slime and half your actions are heal at a point in the game where healing is pointless.

Eventually you give birth to other monsters by beating special field enemies to an inch of their life and them having sex with them. That’s another thing, only seven tameable monsters. Random encounters aren’t sexable. Anyway, like typical RPG Maker all your monsters join you in one big team so fights are mostly three on three’s. It gets a little better once you get to that point, but by then you are grinding the same trainers to get MP, the currency that doubles as experience. You buy levels in this game, per monster. 30 is the max, but that would take about 30+ fights with the highest MP gain to get a single monster to. You really only need to get to 15 as that’s when a monsters secondary h scene unlocks. You can beat the game with a  party of 15-17. This still takes a decent chunk of time of grinding trainers.

My last issue or thing I want to note is how the game doesn’t show TP. All your monsters use TP to use their skills, yet all you have for TP is a gauge, no number. Its inconvenient and led to me opening the skill menu constantly only to close it when I couldn’t use anything.

H Scenes and Other

All h scenes are with monsters. Slime and Roper are the more monster type, the rest are all humanoid types. Decent variety and length, marred by horrible English. It’s hard to enjoy an H scene when I can barely understand what’s going on, and that’s this games worse point. The English is bad.

Verdict and Save

Boring. Mainly do to Aria having a turn at all, the game gets really boring at the start. You are basically invincible to the beginning enemies as you heal your single monster constantly cause its all you can do. Once you finally have a team you have to grind the same enemies to get the levels needed to beat the game. It’s just not enjoyable.

The translation doesn’t help either.  Its bad. Like I don’t care if its accurate or not, its painful to read English like this. Sometimes funny, usually painful. Any spellchecker or hell Grammarly could probably fix a majority of the issues, but nope. It reads poorly to the point that I skipped most of the dialogue because it was impossible to really understand what most of the characters were really saying. Like their lines were wrong and who said what was switched. Or their personalities were switching between two lines. The script probably wasn’t good to begin with honestly but it was just painful to read.

Anyway, an announcement of sorts. This will get its own post but I want to say this here. This is the last game I’m putting on the site with English this bad. Thanks to RPGMaker Trans(a program that lets you translate RPGMaker text without breaking into the game) and a new program that lets you run Google Translate straight into the game, I’ll be doing less RPGMaker games. People are going to give away patches of literal Google Translate and I’m not going to play things like that. I don’t consider Google Translates ability high enough to think of game’s translated by it as being in English proper. What I really want to say that if I hate a game’s English within seconds of opening it, I’m not playing it. I have better things to do then play game’s that people didn’t even spellcheck.
