Glory & Miserable Survivors aka DaiSenka

H Scene Count- 7

Created by TORAKUTORI, translated by Mango Party

Length- Finished all girls and unlock list in 4 hours, another few for enough gold to unlock every power up.

DaiSenka is what you’ll usually see the game titled as, only on Steam have I seen the full English title. It’s a survivor type game, a newish genre that’s kind of an action RPG mixed with rogue loot pool item as level ups, where the goal for the player is to reach clicker levels of player interaction aka none.

Story

Does any Survivor type game have an actual story beyond horde of thing coming to kill, sole person stands as resistance? That’s the plot here, enemy country invading, win or be traded away as a sex slave.

Gameplay

I basically described the base genre above, so I’ll note the only real unique things this has, the Keep and constructions. The game wants to kind of be a tower defense game on top of a Survivors type, with the left side of the screen being your base of sorts. You want to stop enemies from reaching that side of the screen, and of the 3 real enemy types 2 of them just run to the left. Bosses instant kill the keep, while normal runners just drop it by 1 HP. If it drops to 0 the game acts as if you have dies and game over. This makes wide range weapons incredibly important, or having the speed to catch up to enough runners to keep the Keep healthy.

The other mechanic is constructions. A third type of item other then passives and weapons, these are buildings that are either another passive or a stationery weapon you can push around. Lots of them affect enemy movement so they can be good for watching extreme sides of the map or helping give you some breathing room by stopping time every once in a while. Really though, a lot of these are just weapons or passives in a different slot.

Game has 3 levels with 7 girls to play as, each with their own weapons that are the only ones that evolve. You need to both win and lose a level with each girl to get all the cgs, and gold to unlock the girls and stages. Each level takes 20 minutes + level up time and chest animation time. That’s probably my biggest issue with the survivor genre though, a single attempt takes way to long.

H and Other stuff

So each girl has a cg and an animation for losing. A quick animation as the actual lose scene, and a full scene with cg and text in the gallery. All of these are assault as they get traded away as prisoners of war.

I didn’t read any so no notes on style. Has some ludicrously big chests on two of the 7 girls, the rest are medium sized.

H is only from losing, winning levels is almost not even worth it for the single not lewd cg you get.

Verdict

I don’t care for Survivors that much. A friend and I chatted about them and concluded they are mostly flash over substance with the end goal of a run to being as involved as an AFK game. That doesn’t make them bad, just not for me. They have exploded in popularity due to how easy they are to make and of course porn games followed that, so I had to play one. Originally that was suppose to be Sexy Mystic Survivors but I just lost my motivation for that one.

Any way, this feels a bit to light on content even for this genre. 3 stages and really only 3 enemy types with different skins and HP to give the appearance of a variety of enemies. Other then the tower defense stuff this doesn’t have anything going for it, and really those elements were more annoying then fun.

Save for DaiSenka

Contains- All cgs, levels and girls unlocked. I have all power ups available but didn’t farm the gold to get everything turned on at once.

That is such an anti-design. Sure, if you don’t want to make a serious game, then that’s good, but that’s not a gameplay design you tack into a game with more extensive gameplay than RPG Maker.
