[Ecchi]Bunny Garden

This got surprisingly popular. Pretty sure it’s qureates most popular release at this point, which makes me wish it was more than a stripped-down dating sim.

Bunny Garden is a dating sim light about a guy visiting a hostess bar(basically) and drinking with one of three busty beauties.

Story-3

So super generic dude loses his job due to an oversight of some kind, and thinks about ending it all. He meets a hot girl in front of a bar, and she tries to cheer him up. After inviting him to the bar once he calms down, the guy goes home and calls up a friend for a job.

Next week the MC starts visiting Bunny Garden, a hostess bar, to basically make himself happy. Here you can chat with one of three lovely ladies-

Kana- Friendly, cheerful. Talks about eating and her dog a lot. Wants to be an actress, comes from the country.

Miuka- Kuudere. Her thing is being rude then nice and talking about her little sister. She also comes onto the MC the most after you get her interested. Like a third of her conversations seem to have some amount of wanting to get banged.

Ruri-Straightforward. Casual. Otaku.

At this point it’s a slice of life VN with money management. You have 4 months to win a girl over, as the bar just shuts down if you don’t win one of them over. Apparently, your spending is keeping it afloat?

Gameplay-3

It’s silly easy. I’ll go over the game in operation order, but really just spend money on the girl you want, and you’ll win.

First, the home menu. You have 9 options, but only 4 of them really matter. Shop lets you buy gifts, but really only character specific stuff is worth getting (birthday gifts and clothing). Dispatch lets you trade the weekend of cash, not worth it. Gamble just straight up rolls to see if you get money, easy to save/load to any amount you want. Vacation is a late game thing for some cgs. Album lets you see stuff from the photography minigame. Calendar is as it says. Sleep lets you skip the individual day which is needed for a few later dates as you can’t go to the shop without an invite. Save/Load is self-explanatory. Finally, Bunny Garden brings you to the core of the game.

At the bar, the girl with highest affection who’s there (Saturday is a rotating day off for them) serves you first. You order a drink and then order her one. Your drink affects affection gain, theirs does that and can add to making them drunk. If at the beginning of the game, order your first drink and turn down the second to switch girls to the one you want to do the run with.

After drinks ordered and you get to see their ass, you get three options. Conversation, present, and food. Present relates to the shop option at the home menu and won’t see much use. Food lets you order a meal for some extra affection. Conversation just skips the other two, you get the conversation regardless of which of the three options you actually chose. These play ou like VN bits, the most you do is select a choice for some bonus affection, or play a memory game for the same.

Repeat the above 3 times. On the third time, if you give the girl enough high alcohol content and you have met them a few times, they will get drunk. This raises the chance of getting an affection question. The girl will also get closer and generally be flirtier.

After a few repeats of the above through the first month or so, you will start getting minigames and after dates. After dates are just money=affection. Minigames are mostly the same. Photo is just a weak poser, twister is watching them try to play so you can ogle them, and hand sumo is a mix of groping them and a timing minigame. Hand sumo is the most skill the entire game ever asks for.

There’s also a private room they can invite you to on Sundays. The only thing this does is give you a lower viewing angle for when they get drinks and add ASMR scenes to the minigame rotation.

And that’s it. You manage your money to spend enough to earn enough affection to get the girl’s ending while not going broke. Generally, as long as you spend most of your cash you win.

The only difficult thing would be getting the harem ending, which feels like it just exists for the sake of it. You never interact with the girls as a group, so a harem feels weird… Anyway, after clearing all three girls you get a NG+ bonus of a massive amount of money. After your first clear you can also buy an item that shows affection levels. Combining these two makes even the harem just a basic run instead of something annoying to plan around.

Lewdness- 5

Similarly to Future You’ve Been Dreaming Of, the lewd is mostly in the gameplay. The way the girls move, their clothing and body shapes, and the minigames all serve as the core lewd part of the game. They greet you every day with a bow that shows their deep cleavage, more expensive drinks make them bend such to show more of their panties and butts, and the minigames are just pure posing silliness. The cgs on the other hand…

Each girl has 7 and they all follow the same rules. A birthday cg of the girl in her casual clothes in one of those viewing platform towers, no lewd. Two vacation cgs, one where they get splashed with water for some slight see-through and one where they are sleeping next to you, the lewdest the game bothers with but not very(except Kana, who gets a nude hot springs cg which feels out of place with how clean every other cg is). Two ending cgs, one for confession and one for the endings, again no lewd. Finally, 2 ASMR cgs where only the girl’s faces are in the shot. The art style is like Livestream 2 so the actual quality of the art is great, but no silly out of place panty shots or any clothing coming undone here. Then you have the harem ending cgs, the three girls crowding you, not really lewd at all.

Final Thoughts

It’s basically a slice of life VN where you chat with the girl over the span of a few months, then date and it ends. The gameplay is bare bones and without any drama, all you have is the lewd and the girl’s personalities to draw. That made it popular, but personally it’s okay at best for me.

It’s also kind of a mess. The topics the girls talk about are diverse enough, but the sudden shifts in conversation that make it obviously skits and not actual discussions breaks any flow the game has. I could nitpick a bit, more like the weird choice to have the game save in user folders in the game folder so if you move computers with the game it will create new saves instead of using the already existing ones.

There’ s nothing else to say as this is incredibly bare bones. Maybe the success will lead to someone looking into Dream C Club, it’d be nice to get one of those games in English.

Save for Bunny Garden

Save to harem ending, and a save to bikini event days. I wanted a save for the other in game events, but they don’t seem to want to work for me to set them all up in one save.

All cgs, NG+ rich mode unlocked, all minigames and asmr good to go.

Gameplay: 3/10 Eroticness: 5/10 Story: 3/10

Completion: Finish each girl’s story, then get all three to 8/10 or max affection by the end of the game, which rich mode makes a joke. Do every girl’s birthday, at least 3 ASMR (they all unlock by clearing the girl I believe, the second cg only unlocks on the third in game), do every vacation and that’s it. Easy.
