This was not exactly the game I wanted to start the year off with, but I’ve been basically unable to play what I wanted for 3 weeks. This is the last of the short things I finished to pad the release schedule out, and hopefully by next week I have an 18+ game or something a bit longer to write about.
So I looked around the Nintendo Switch shop, looking for ports of ecchi games on it that I could then go back to Steam and see if they existed there. A bit of a non direct approach, but you’d be surprised how much more efficient that is then looking on Steam itself for ecchi games. I found a few things during this dive, one of which is this arena shooter with some ecchi images as point rewards. Figured I’d give it a shot.

This is currently a free demo on steam and probably a few other places.
This is a dating sim/roguelite hybrid with lots of big boobs. It’s Korean made, so the English is pretty bad at points, more on that under story. It’s very similar game design wise to School of Lust. The core of this is the “younger sis” style girl of the usual western boy in house of girl story’s.

This might be one of the more what the hell’s I’ve done. A 2k game about mobsters? How is this ecchi you might ask. Well, there’s a few reasons. The biggest is the 50(19 more from dlc, no in game gallery for that though) Playboy images the game has as collectibles throughout the game. Plus pinups and a bit more and I figured why not.
Mafia 1 doesn’t have these to my knowledge, and Definitive Edition sucks. It’s a an almost unnoticeable graphic improvement for more bugs and 5 times the graphics size. Since buying Definitive gives you Classic with all the DLC I just went with Classic for this. I think that explains any big questions.
Now what is Mafia? A GTA set in the past instead of the present. A much more serious take on the open world car theft style.

It’s been some time since I did a finished 3D model h game. I was kind of surprised when I saw this one was done. Most of these never finish, having scripts longer then most books as they sustain life on the donation model of game development. So seeing a finished game that wasn’t 5 minutes long and wasn’t just a puzzle flip got me interested. So I played it. It’s hotel simulator.

So with Reverie getting it’s English announcement I figured I’d finally clean this up and throw the save up. I don’t really have a lot to say about Cold Steel 4 itself, it was a decent game that did what it was suppose to story wise and fixed some broken game design stuff from the previous game. Had too many forced party member segments, but they made sense and I got through them all on the highest difficulty.The Rean gets any girl thing was a bit ridiculous, but at the same time it was basically what a decent amount of fans of the series were waiting for anyway since the original game had dating mechanics.
Below is the save and some general thoughts about the whole 4 games. Honestly I just can’t wait for Reverie to end this and eventually move on from this part of the world and onto the rest.
Oh and fanservice. Emma gets the above ridiculous rune only outfit that might as well be a shiny plugsuit or swimwear. It is by far the most silly outfit you unlock in game. I’m divided on whether it’s erotic or not, she is basically naked but it’s not really drawing attention to her sexually. It just doesn’t contain the same sexuality as swimwear or things like bunny outfits. Still basically did an entire playthrough just so I had it at end game for her final date since you unlock that outfit only in NG+.
All the old swimwear is back. Almost every Cold Steel character also gets a bath towel.

Ah yes, Dragon Maid. That weird wholesome but not really show. The artist/creator of the series, coolkyousinnjya, is the kind of guy who does what he wants, alternating between extremely lewd stuff with a lot of short oppai girls and clean romance. Dragon Maid is basically halfway between his actually porn stuff and his well meaning romance stuff.
For it’s first game outing it got a schmup with clothes ripping. Of course I was going to play it.
