H Scene Count- 23 text scenes, 28 enemy animations, 25 being attacked animations
Created by Diselmine
Length- 2 hours or so
I don’t think I’ve touched Diselmine since Violated Hero way back… I know they started publishing their own stuff in English a bit back, but the English was terrible. Not sure when they finally cleaned that up, but here we are.
So this is an action game with some light puzzles and a decent amount of combat. Every enemy attack is a sex attack, but you use attack spells so sex combat kinda.
Wolf RPG. I guess it’s action? You run though areas killing monsters in a top down view, looking for item upgrades and monster parts. It’s straightforward. Pixel art h scenes.
Length- If you actually read most of it, probably 30+ hours. On easy and just running through like 3-5.
Never thought I’d actually play something in this series…
CoC and TiTs, or Corruption of Champions and Trials in Tainted Space are text focused adventure games that have been around for a good while now. I think I remember seeing the thread for when CoC first started and basically skipped right over it, text only didn’t mean much to me then. Even now it’s not really something that would drive me to play it, except they added art to the following games. TiTs has bust art for some characters you can meet to help the imagination for the way to much pron you can get up to in that game, and this throws in cgs for special occasions and basically everyone has bust art.
So I decided for whatever reason to give it a go and I got hooked enough to get through it’s current content.
To be honest, this isn’t my type of game. My completionist side gets in the way of me enjoying actual roleplaying, so despite all the chances to act as a consistent character or be committed to a relationship like I’d prefer, instead sleeping with everyone and being inconsistent are basically required to get everything. I don’t mesh well with these kind of games.
A pixel platformer made in some version of RPG Maker. Apparently there’s a RPG Maker engine made for making platformers. Poorly. Why? Does RPG mean something I’m not aware of? There’s no grenades or role playing here.
The remake/remaster whatever of Fairy Fencer, one of the serious RPG’s from Compile Heart and Idea Factory after fans liked Neptunia 2’s darker ending. It contains the whole original game but also adds two whole new paths which basically doubles the game.
It’s mechanically very similar to Neptunia, just with a male protag, some romance, and a bigger focus on character development and a “darker” story.
This is a VN I wanted to highlight, as it’s likely going to go under the radar for basically everyone. I don’t have a great reason to point this out versus everything else, but this seemed so silly that I had to at least try and give it some attention.
So first, why did I play this? The title for one. Translated to what an English speaker would understand, the title is “Stomach cutter! Hostess Girls” which is an interesting word combination. I immediately thought it was some project by some other weeb stringing words together, or maybe something like Doki Doki where the creator kind doesn’t care for the medium and just wanted in. Both wrong.
Turns out the game is made by Frontier Works, a legitimate Japanese company. No idea what company that is? Not surprising, this is not only their first western release, it’s their first boy x girl release period, but not their first release. This is their fifth one. Their first was a bl game. The next three were otome projects with some help from Otomate. For a Japanese company in the otaku space, this is really weird. You don’t usually want to change audiences for each project, you never get a footing in any group that way and is basically a good way to go bankrupt.
That’s max bust size, and the fourth or fifth “lewdest” image in the game.
Anyway, I then looked at the VNDB page and it didn’t have an age rating. It came out that day so I went to Steam and saw “Size-adjustable breasts: Each character comes in a range of 4 sizes.” and decided that whether it was porn or not, I at least had to give it a try. It even had L2D so it was worth the 10$ price to at least see what it had. I always want to find ecchi focused VNs, as they are really rare.
The thigh alchemy game, part 2. Ryza has returned slightly thicker. She’s also wearing more, which based on three’s promo images seems to be the trend. Make her bigger but cloth her up more.
