[Ecchi]Mugen Souls

Those blobs are part of the image, which is part of my issue with these…

Switch version is the best version, as it’s the only version that’s not missing any content.

Mugen Souls is one of the more censored games from the PS3/Vita era of games. The company in charge for the PC wanted to release it uncensored but was shot down by Steam. That was about the extent of my knowledge for the game before I played it.

Honestly it’s a very lacking game and the actual lewd stuff is dwarfed by a decent number of games I’ve played. It’s really the character design aka loli count that got this censored.

It’s a turn based RPG with Disgaea levels of power creep and a bunch of complicated stuff thrown on top.

Glory & Miserable Survivors aka DaiSenka

H Scene Count- 7

Created by TORAKUTORI, translated by Mango Party

Length- Finished all girls and unlock list in 4 hours, another few for enough gold to unlock every power up.

DaiSenka is what you’ll usually see the game titled as, only on Steam have I seen the full English title. It’s a survivor type game, a newish genre that’s kind of an action RPG mixed with rogue loot pool item as level ups, where the goal for the player is to reach clicker levels of player interaction aka none.

[Ecchi]Love on leave

qureate came back to life and tossed out a relaxing summer vacation esque sim game. Just a simple country romance themed one this time.

Honest- I haven’t actually finished the game. Thanks to a hack someone made I got the last cg in my save, but I honestly can’t find the fifth ending, the Sage ending. I know it’s horror themed from that cg and the one other clue I’ve found about it, but I can’t find how to do it. I’ve done three whole extra runs of the game and spent 2+ hours going through Japanese and Chinese sites trying to find some discussion and nothing.

Note, I played basically the whole game while I was sick, which might have made me like it more. It was the perfect calm game for when I felt terrible.

Completionism can suck

Have you ever felt put off by how complex a game is? Skip a title because there’s content that is nigh impossible to get? Lose all interest when the unlock all button is just thrown at you? Know you are skipping a fun title because there’s nothing to actually get?

Being a completionist can suck. Especially when it’s not your job but more of an obsession.

Basically my entire game focus is on completing content and getting rewards for it. A big part of why I gravitated to pervy games was that galleries served as a great motivator to trek onward to getting anything a game has. But as the library of porn games expanded a few issues kept cropping up that has hit my motivation hard.

[Ecchi…Not Really]Dead Estate

This is one of those games where one of the characters(Cordelia, or the witch) is a standout fanservicey type. She drew my attention enough to play it eventually. Then the Heaven and Hell update happened, which had some official art that piqued my interest enough to just start it then and there.

So this is a room to room roguelike. Like a 45 degree Isaac, but with a Resident Evil skin instead of disgusting. Lots of references actually…

Mechaneer Resta’s Grand Adventure

H Scene Count- 36

Created by Resta!, translated by Kagura Games

Length-2-3 hours. Maybe another for reading the porn or fighting bosses to get those scenes again.

Megaman esque game. Platforming levels with a blaster, gain special shots from bosses, jump and shoot. Very simple, pretty short.

[Ecchi]Sermant- Contract with a Devil

A girl’s love dungeon crawler with some ideas I like that just don’t go far enough in execution. It’s incredibly light hearted despite the name and concept. Combat is turn based with visible wait bars and is fairly easy with a few different design decisions then most.

Sengoku Rance MG Version finally done

This took way longer then it had any right to.

Save

This has both the original and MG versions saves in it. Because why not.

So what is the reason this had to be updated, or more like what is the MG version? When Mangagamer released Sengoku to the west they did 2 things that affected completion in the game. One was cleaning up the Clear Game Report and adding a few things to it, so there was some new achievement style things to do. The second, and really the important one, was adding variant h scenes(basically scenes that reuse cgs) to the gallery. So now Suzume’s shadow clone h scene can be replayed! Thing is the original game didn’t track that stuff, so I had to go and unlock all the new scenes manually. Agireda specifically was a lot more annoying to get and clear then I remembered.

So I can’t say I’m a fan of live service stuff. It’s not even the business model itself that bothers me, it’s having a game I’m done with suddenly not be done. My 100% becoming a 75% or less. I know I play a decent amount of unfinished stuff which is basically the same idea, but even those I tend to stop playing after a bit, maybe going back to them in the distant future. I’ve considered going back to a lot of the unfinished games and updating them, but there’s little motivation for a lot of them. This in particular is a game I love and it took me almost 2 years to finish. I’m glad it’s done though.
