Story
In DMC, you play as Chris, a blonde proud tsundere girl who can contract naked demon girls into her service to fight alongside. At the start of the game, she is trying to summon a high tier demon, but instead gets summoned herself. Her cat demon loses the fight, gets cursed, and they run away. Eventually arriving at the main heroines home, Chris’ goal is to uncurse her cat and return home. You then adventure trough bland dungeons with h-scene occuring one per dungeon, reach the end and that’s it. No real twists or anything added, you don’t even really learn that much about Chris even.
This a yuri doujin Rpg with monster recruitment. The story is told through a narration style where a third entity is explaining what is happening and you can see what people are saying, but usually not what they are thinking.
Gameplay
The gameplay is group turn based combat, where you us AP to do actions, and if you have no AP you have to guard. High AP means you will hit more often, crit more often, get crited less, and have a lower chance of your clothes being ripped off so there is an element of actual strategy in the game of what you want to do. To capture a monster you have to rip off all there clothes and be a higher level, which means grinding. If you are on the easy difficulty(which blocks the true ending) you gain 1.5-2x experience and money, and in hard half of what you should get.
Chris can be equipped with different outfits throughout the game, all of which can in several colors. These are expensive to buy and even on easy you would have to grind to get all the types. The outfits do function as a class system, in that they give Chris new abilities and are what decide her stats.
H scenes and other things
The art in the game is great. It’s cute and compliments the yuri well, its the stock sound effects, no voices, bland dungeon walls that hurt the game. The writing is fine until you hit an h-scene, which are all to short and feel bland compared to the art. The narration style just does not fit well with the scenes and you feel less like Chris and more like a floating eye watching the scene and only noticing big changes.
One note is that only one of the scenes is really consensual(and its the hidden one), the rest are Chris being abused by whatever demon girl is around as she explores.
DMC is a good doujin yuri game, but as an hrpg it’s a bit bland. The story is a throwaway set up plot for the girls and scenes. The gameplay is decent and more indepth then most rpg maker games, but even in hard near the end I could spam attack and win every fight. Other then the true final boss and the secret dungeon, the rest of the game is fairly easy, just grind heavy if you want to recruit. If you want to play a yuri game that is not just S&M scenes throughout, this is the game for you. For other people, try the demo at least to see if you’ll like it first.
Save contains all scenes and a gallery to look at all the characters and outfits for Chris.
