I forgot to update at all in the last month outside of the October project sticky post. Welp. Honestly I didn’t have much to say, a wedding took an entire week from my time and most of my game time has been spent on the monthly update project thing, which I’ll go over what’s being played for that in the October Palooza post.
November is also going to get a project/theme thing to it. I kind of want to keep theming months? It helps decide what to play. November is kind of doing No Nut, but really it’s just a front for me to spend time on Funbag 4. Basically for November the only things I intend to post on the blog will be all ages or ecchi, which is what I’ll mostly be playing next to Funbag 4. Once December hits I’ll release any finished 18+ stuff I didn’t post during the month.
I haven’t really finished prepping it yet, but I’ll be tossing up a discord soonish. More then half of my prep has been done. I delayed the post about this, but basically with all the age verification stuff and my limited funding, I decided it’s about time to set up behind other social sites that can set up an age verification thing without killing their user numbers. In line with that I decided to write up a list of all my finished stuff and make a discord/reddit to basically give out the Master Save Archive and fulfill requests for any specific saves I have. Maybe actually get a community going? I doubt that. I could just use existing save sites and such, but yourgamesaves and the current gamesaves reddit are both iffy for adult content, and the whole point of the blog is for English versions versus sagaoz’s Japanese ones. Of course sagaoz might have English version compatible saves on it, I haven’t visited the site in years.

Lollipop Chainsaw RePop- It crashed the last time I tried it…
Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy- 51/100 Endings. Stalled.
Blazblue 3- playing it on day offs so slow progress. 1/4 done with arcade mode.
Dungeon Travelers 2- Final story dungeon, progress is slowing down so I can jump into other stuff. Stalled.
TurretGirls- This is going to take a while. It’s a goal based rogue… I guess railshooter? Some of the goals are very grindy. Stalled by Code Z.
Death End Code Z- Way worse then I imagined. The review I read about it just outright didn’t do this justice. It was also wrong in like 3 ways? I’m 2/3 of the way through the Death Ends and once those are out of the way the game should speed up a lot.

I’m sorry to hear that you got bored with DT 2-2 after you were looking forward to it for so long. I’ve just started playing it myself on the Vita after finishing ToHeart2: Dungeon Travelers. I guess it’s a good thing that I only play extremely long, grindy dungeon-crawlers.
Dungeon crawlers always fall a part for me. I think I get it, it’s the lack of any real character progression less then a fifth into the game. Like in Dungeon Travelers, once you hit level 30, you have access to everything. The way the game’s power curve felt, I just ended up doing 1 thing per character and any fun was just gone.
Good for you if you enjoy them. I wish I did, Dungeon Travelers is one of the lewdest series out there, I just wish I enjoyed the gameplay.

Most of them I read. More recently I’ll skip a few routes if I lose interest or hate the themes. For nukige I’ll usually skip fetishes I don’t have or once I get bored. I do try and get my money’s worth out of these.

By Red do you mean Trump? What’s red about him? Anyway, I’m sure even if Kamala won they’re not going to ease up on anti-ecchi law. Both sides have been insisting it’s a form of cp long before this round of election.

Republicans are generally the red side, it’s just a weird quirk of US politics. Anti ecchi or sex appeal stuff is still better then outright jail time for any porn(and arguably, that’s still the red side doing that. Mastercard and Visa are very much on the side of republicans overall. Left just wants “realistic characters” and less male gaze but still has a lot of porn being made). Also, Virginia and Georgia are the only states out of 16 that are not right leaning that have recently increased anti porn laws or are currently discussing it.
One lets you enjoy old material and allows independents to continue to create, the other is jail time for all of it.
As for Boxing Babes, never heard of it. Looking at it, it’s a kind of doll esque boxing game where you can make the girls topless. Not sure what made steam ban it, it doesn’t look like you can make them shorter and they don’t look like kids.

Also Mastercard and Visa heavily push ESG which are favored by lefts, and is one of the biggest reason ecchi is getting censored. I used to think they belong to the right too but looking at their policies and where their money is aligning with it’s hard for me to believe they’re just doing this for conservative purposes. I also have never seen any left politicians complaining about these payment processors poking their noses where they don’t belong.
Anyway, ecchi in general isn’t anything like western porn so even if left are ok with porn in general, they’re not ok with ecchi for sure.
And that doesn’t change my point. Project 2025 vows to make porn illegal, which puts me in jail for my hobby. Vance, the VP if the right wins, wrote the forward of Project 2025. Trump’s health is barely hanging on, and he’s easy to control. They can either toss him or work around him, either way Project 2025 is very likely to happen if the right wins. The courts aren’t going to stop it, the only reason Trump isn’t in prison is the Supreme Court. So Trump wins, and within a few months porn will be made illegal in the entire country via likely an executive order.
I hate ESG. DEI is dumb. Political Correctness has been used to hammer people around and has gone to far. But Trump and the actual people supporting Project 2025 are way worse. I’m not taking chances with the fake McDonalds worker who had a speech about talking about a guy’s dong.
@Salad very doubtful. The reason why Tenshi Souzou Reboot was blocked for a second time was explicitly because they noticed that they resubmitted a game that was already rejected.
Steam does use AI, or rather, Machine Learning for game recommendation and server-side cheat detection, but in many ways they are still very manual. Too manual, in fact, and I would attribute any weirdness in what passes and doesn’t pass as just a basic “it depends on the evaluator” gacha.
Some evaluator doesn’t care, some does, some really does. H-game on Steam is built on top of managing your risk of getting an evaluator whose threshold match the at-a-glance risks in your game submission. Underage stuff is the highest of that risks, as does actual explicit content, and that’s why you just remove all the explicit content into a patch and sometimes you also censor the underage ecchi stuff (see Cyanotype Daydream and Key’s censorship).
That’s the first time I ever hear about the project thingie, looking at how literally every democrats jumped at this and how Trump kept distancing himself from it it could be legit but I don’t think it has any relevance on what ecchi games are facing, considering Biden administration are also currently encouraging censorship and banning of ecchi. I’m not sure if you notice but steam had become much more vicious against ecchi ever since Biden took the throne. Not like Trump presidency didn’t see censorship either but at least I remember not seeing it THIS bad.
tbh I don’t care for politics as long as they don’t interfere with videogames but if you ask me about past record against ecchi I feel the recent year of Biden had done way more happening that did damage to the genre than Trump administration. Pixiv locking down? Biden. Master Card tightening their noose? Biden. Niconico removing nsfw (due to Visa)? Biden. Dlsite shutting down foreign access? Biden. Loli used to be not big deal on steam as long as it is sfw now you can’t even put schoolgirl kissing each other on it.
There’s a lot more to Steam banning games then Biden… Lots of new anti porn laws went into effect from Republican led States in the last couple of years, Biden had nothing to do with that. There’s also European and Australian law to consider, plus China was hard against sexualization until like 2 years ago. Steam has to play safe against every country in the world legally, so some of their staff are hard against ecchi/porn of essentially children. The rest is mostly independent rich companies doing things, Biden has no hand in that. At most, you can say the left is against extreme dark sex stuff, but so is the right. The bodytype thing is the left, but Dragon’s Dogma 2 still has essentially underwear you can wear as armor.
Stellar Blade, Brown Dust 2, and other very pervy gacha stuff are coming out. There does not appear to be any law regarding adult sized characters engaging in sexual matters, and while a lot of western made games have gotten uglier they also contain more sex then they used to. Japanese have been hit not by Biden, but by adding a new regulation board that wanted to lessen the appearance of Japan as the pervy sex country and so now panty shots are an M rating. There are localizers poisoning the well, and Blackrock/ESG is also not a plus on this stuff but those are European, not Biden.
Regardless, Kamala is not running on making porn illegal in the country. Trump’s backers have boldly listed that it is something they intend to do. I am not taking chances with the crazy guy who should be in jail.
I notice half the Japanese ecchi in your backlog came out before Biden took the throne and they all dried up the moment he came into power. Note that they have no problem with REAL porn, but they have problem with anime softcore porn like ecchi. To them, ecchi is something way more sordid than real life porn, as you seem to already realize, they brand it all cp. Look to twitter and you see all kind of flags and pronouns under the profile of those who say such things. Those are the kind of people who would love to see otaku hobbies burn, all the while gloating about it. Kamala may be sensible on a whole more than Trump but I can’t in my good conscience support those who belittle and ban what game I play in my free time.
I feel you are also ignoring that porn just does way better then fanservice, and the ecchi damage that happened with Sony via MeToo, which cowed a lot of companies into avoiding fanservice content. Biden had nothing to do with that. Like seriously, just because Biden taking over coincides with the timing doesn’t mean he had anything to do with it. In fact, most fanservice games came out during Obama’s term(Vita era), we just got a lot of the translations during Trumps. And the MeToo event with Sony happened during Trumps presidency! So of course it feels like Biden’s had less, the console market for ecchi was essentially just the Switch, and then Steam opened the doors for porn which just does better financially then fanservice.
Japan leaned heavily into fanservice during 2008-2012 or so because otaku spending didn’t change much during the recession occurring during that period(basically the same reason China stopped blocking fanservice about 2 years ago actually…). After that a few companies stuck with it for a bit, but when Sony blocked stuff it basically died. A few tried to jump to the Switch but at the time it just wasn’t worth it(Senran Kagura tried this with it’s spinoffs and Re;Burst, they failed. Fans didn’t support the stuff.) This was in no way a government conspiracy against ecchi. The market just doesn’t actually support the stuff very well. Outside of gacha. And when the culture war decides to actually support a game instead of hating on them.
Yes, some feminists are anti ecchi, usually because either they have an onlyfan accounts they want you to support, or are against sexual exploitation. Most don’t care, twitter represents such a small part of the world.
Anyway, I don’t care how you vote, the reality is that I’m closing the blog at the end of the year if Trump wins. This isn’t something I’m going to change my mind on. I desperately want him to lose, way to many people are going to suffer with he wins.
Addendum- I also haven’t covered all ecchi that have come out in the last few years. I ignore gacha and active live service stuff, so things like Mecha Break and First Descendant have been ignored here. I skipped a few like Yuuna in the Hotsprings, and I vaguely remember one or two Switch games I’ve ignored because genre goals and lack of cgs. There’s also a massive amount of ecchi puzzle games I actively ignore, and the FMV ecchi stuff that’s suddenly coming out from Korea and China. There’s not as many single release ecchi games, but they do still come out. About half the games I’ve covered this year are from this year. That’s not a bad number at all.
but why would you shut down website? I fail to see any sense in that, total cleansing of porns is far from possible in any foreseeable future and what this blog did isn’t any where near smut of porn sites. Steam would probably have to shut down their website in case Trump won, by your logic. I would understand if you do it as a form of protest but you claim it’s not worth jail time and to this date there’s no known case of someone reviewing porns getting a jail, much less ecchi game
I don’t currently know how far the arrests for porn distribution would go. No one does. How tight will it be, how far down the chain they will make arrests or shut down. There’s a good chance WordPress would shut the site down long before I would see jail time honestly.
But really? I’m paranoid as fuck and just want a calm life. Living in fear that one day I end up on the hit list of whatever system they use to arrest people is not what I would want. Like I said, once I can understand the terms of how the whatever law/order works, maybe I’d put the ecchi back up. There’s no point in a porn review blog if anyone making the stuff or distributing it goes to jail.
As for Steam, thanks to the mature split it’s actually really easy for them to cleanse the site. Delete any adult only title you have to opt in to see and they are basically done.
It might be my imagination but you sound accepting almost content if ecchi were to be actually purged from steam and other platform or accept those who did so are in the right which kind of take me by surprise considering how enthusiastic you are about playing these games. Not trying to antagonize you but your stance is kind of rare among people who have played this many in the genre.
Not so much in the right, I think taking porn away is dumb. Stats show that taking away sex education or ways for people to excise their passions usually turns them into deviants, the kind of people who actually have sex with their sisters. Destructive sexual ways usually come about from people who have no proper avenues to learn about porn and get a more standard/not dangerous fetish, and the US sex education system is a fucking joke.
I love these kinds of games. Ecchi and porn are great ways to experiment with a bunch of stuff and I enjoy the sights. But I live somewhere where if I was arrested for this stuff, it wouldn’t just be me hurt. My pay supports half my household. I can’t just cavalier about porn and throw caution to the wind. I also don’t want to be angry all the time. I try to see things both ways a lot and when I don’t get what I want try to understand why it happened. It makes sense that porn with young characters creeps people out, and I’m pretty sure there is a country where if you let someone buy something like that via VPN you are legally liable for that purchase. I don’t want someone else to go to jail just so that I can enjoy something. I don’t like people suffering for my entertainment.
I also don’t approach these games the same way most people tend to. I love completing stuff. It just so happens that the games with the most rewarding completion stuff tends to be porn or sexually themed stuff. I don’t care about marginally better weapons, a little more story, achievements, gold, or really any other common game rewards. Things like cgs, replay menus, and bestiaries have always felt far more compelling to fill. The softcore focus came about with me noticing how poorly treated the whole genre has been. I actually have thought about switching to ecchi altogether, but I’m a tad too lazy to really do it. It also doesn’t bring the views, not that I’m earning anything off this blog. I also might just lack actual passion, working overnights for 10 years has probably had a big impact on my actual energy to achieve much.
