Knight Princess Eris

H Scene Count-13

Created by Wild Flower

Length- 2 hours

A… platformer I guess? It has hack and slash stuff too but really dealing with the awkward double jump is most of the gameplay. It’s made in RPG Maker MV apparently, but it’s not even remotely an RPG.

Story

Piecing together what little there is, Eris is a princess. Her kingdom was taken over by demons, her family slaughtered. She was tortured instead, and eventually escaped. After being on the run for a while, she turns around and begins her counter attack. She eventually gets to the demon who started everything, who reveals a royal womb is really good for making demons. You win and then I guess good ending? Thing is it immediately follows up with an h scene of you losing so I’m not sure this has a good ending.

Gameplay

It’s trying to be a hack and slash platformer. Made in RPG Maker. Expect problems. Because there is no way it wouldn’t.

So you play level to level, with a world map of sorts letting you select stage. Stages are very short, some a single screen long while some a few screens. Stages are never longer then 5 minutes. The only real goal is to get to the end, with some requiring killing a boss as well.

You have 3 hearts and any contact is damage and some clothes lost. You will be combo’ed. Not that it matters. Every time you die you get a retry option, selecting it has you stand up with full health on the spot. The worst thing that happens from dieing is if you mash you might select restart level instead of retry. This is sadly needed, as the movement options make some enemies and traps far to dangerous.

The main gimmick is the double jump. You can only do it on the way down, and a lot of the levels need it for you to get anywhere. It’s functional if a bit weird that you can only do it as you fall. Swinging your sword loses your forward momentum so you can’t really defend yourself when jumping. Throw in some power ups and that’s the game.

H and Other stuff

It’s so weird. Every other level or so you get an h scene when you finish the level. They don’t make sense. They are either a case of her losing that last fight, or a flashback to her being captured in the castle. They aren’t properly explained and some of the torturer ones aren’t even in order.

So most of the scenes are pretty standard dark stuff. Monster assault with tentacles or weird dicks using sprite animation and text. Some of the later scenes gets into some very specific fetishes, namely scat, birth, and getting punched in the gut a lot.

Scene length is pretty short. Animation is okay, though it has heart shaped mosaics that feel kind of weird. Guess its better then blurred sprites.

Verdict

Bad. That’s a wrap.

Okay, okay. I wouldn’t recommend this for anything other then the pixel art, which isn’t good enough to redeem this. The mismatched engine just doesn’t help, but even ignoring that the game is pretty bland with nothing other then the giant anime dragon girl enemy standing out. She outright looks like she belongs in a different game. Also the scene style of this is just bad. It’s one thing if losing a fight gives you a defeat scene, or if you unlock it after winning. Forcing it to play after a level just makes it clash with the victory feel you just had.
