Kichikuou is the if story of Rance that asks the question, what if Rance took over the whole world? This is kinda like the Final Fantasy of Alicesoft, as this game’s success was the deciding factor on if Alicesoft would survive as a company. Luckily for them, it was a major hit. This is also the first Rance game with fun gameplay, and for those introduced to the series through Sengoku this game’s combat is very similar.

What is possibly my favorite hgame, and easily in my list of top 5 favorite games is this, Sengoku Rance. The 7th game in its series and the 1st translated, its translation eventually spawned a group of people devoted to bringing over Alice-Soft titles and the rest of the Rance series.

Rance is a rapist, he will do whatever it takes to sleep with women, whether coercion, blackmail, force, or slaying a dragon. If the girl gives him a quest, he will do it to do her. He is a narcissist that believes all the cute/sexy women in the world belong to him. Continue reading →

Story

In Toushin Toshi 2, you play as a man named Seed who is living at a dojo. His girlfriend, Hazuki, is the daughter of the master. The master, needed a successor and Seed not progressing in his training at all, sends Hazuki with the best from the dojo to a tournamnet where if her partner wins, she can marry Seed(at least thats what he tells her.)

A strange “game.” This was released as part of a package called Alice Cottage 7 which contained another game or two and some soundtracks. If I had to describe the game, it is an automatic dungeon crawler. By automatic I mean the player does next to nothing when in battle, the fights are just trading blows with some special effects flying around until one side dies.

Daibanchou is one of my favorite h-games to be translated yet. The second Alice-soft title to be translated, it came out a few years ago and was immediately compared to the other translated Alice-Soft title, Sengoku Rance. The two were easy to compare as they both share the same general goal, take over Japan. They even share similar gameplay, which I’ll get into a bit. WARNING: this will be long due to how complex this games gameplay is.
