This is a flash game where you are a captain of a team in space trying to survive a zombie outbreak while making enough money via recording and broadcasting a tv show to afford a way off the space station in the middle of nowhere.
Disclaimer: I paid for this via its second ofbeatr run, which was the third of its 3 kickstarter style events.
Story
So you play as one of four captain backgrounds, each trying to become a pilot and eventually succeeding, landing a job on a space station in the middle of nowhere. One day, during a party, a gas is released in the dance room and turns the people there into infected, and they start killing each other. You luckily did not attend and after meeting a few other survivors (including a couple sexy girls), you learn that either you need to survive here for three years, or pay for a new kind of transport that costs billions to escape the station. So you start a tv show about your survival where the girls are the focus to raise the money.
That’s the setup of the game, and each girl save for 1 has a story to run through usually ending with porn. Girl’s stories don’t end the game, instead getting enough viewers let you choose to leave. The stories range in content and very often in mood. In one episode of a girls you could be doing a bikini show, and not two later people will start dying. Sometimes the game gets a bit preachy with SJW topics and explaining itself which can come off as strange to have in a porn game. Overall the setup of the game is fun, though some of the stories just feel to messy mood wise.
Gameplay
The game is mainly about surviving as long as you need to. You have limited bullets and resources, and each turn your team can mutiny if you don’t keep them happy. Each turn you choose duties for your members. 4 of your people must be on guard duty, while the others can be whatever you want. This ranges from cooking(raises SP), entertainment(MP), repair(fixes barriers aka temp health), medical(HP), and rest which a member must be on to benefit from the other duties. You can also pick where to be in the space station which affects a small difficulty multiplier and what kinds of things you pick up the next day.
After picking all the above you enter combat, which is turn based lane defense. You have four people with two guns and three abilities each. Your job is to kill each enemy before they lower any of your people’s health to negative half of their total. Each gun has a special skill or unique perk and all the character’s have their own talent with the guns and unique powers to them. You have a lot of options, though the enemies are not easy. Even on the first day you can lose, the enemies don’t go easy on you.
Between the two above you can enter dates with a girl of your choice. In these you pick choices that affect the girls affection, and combined with your non combat stats you must woo the lady. Usually at the end of these stories you get porn.
So the game is about surviving days to get to the end of a girls path, and then you restart the entire process. The longer you play the harder it gets, so I recommend restarting after each character complete, which the game tells you you got all their content as a few characters do have missable scenes depending on your choices.
The game saves every 5 days, and you can load a resume once per playthrough. The game also has microtransactions in case you don’t want to get good at playing.
H Stuff and other Stuff
Every h scene is animated, and that’s the highlight of the scenes. Depending on the character and the scene you will either get a decent medium length scene or a ten-fifteen line scene that feels very rushed. The game lets you play one character’s story for free, and that story’s h scenes are the worst in the game. Almost every single other one is better and it’s a shame that the free ones are so short and bad. The rest aren’t amazing, but they are alright. All scenes are consensual and generally only feature a single position/sexual act.
Art has gotten better then the second game, but its still not amazing. The style is very different then you would see in most other games, and that’s a plus I guess. Music is alright, and there will be voices at some point.
Verdict and Saves
Overall, I enjoyed the game game but its not for everyone. A lot of people are complaining its to hard and a patch already came out to make the game easier. The stories can feel a bit schizophrenic pretty often, and can often not feel as rewarding as you would want with how difficult the game can be. For me that’s a plus(I like actually earning h scenes in games), but for most others I can understand that as a minus. The game could do a better job explaining itself in some parts and is not great. Different though, and could very well be enjoyable for people. Try the demo if the game sounds interesting, it doesn’t take very long to figure out if you will enjoy it or not.
Save is a demo save, containing all 2 scenes you can unlock in the demo. As with the previous game giving away a full save would be giving the game away and I won’t do that.
