H Scene Count- 5~
Created by Elf, translated by Fun Translations.
Length- 20-30 hours

Words Worth is a first person action dungeon crawler created in the early nineties. Near the end of the nineties it was remade with better art and that version is called Words Worth Xp, which received a translation by Fun Translations, a group that sold translations but went under fairly quickly. This is the only one of their games(out of 4) to have the patch surface later, and from the quality I am perfectly fine with that, since the English in this game is one of its weakest points.
Story
150 years ago, a tablet known as Words Worth was broken by someone. This tablet was the border between two tribes, Light and Shadow, who blamed each other fro breaking the tablet and went to war against each other. You play as Astro, the prince of the Shadow tribe. Just as the game begins you find that the Light tribe is literally just a floor above where your tribe lives, in a giant cave. After being taunted and told your weak by a lot of people you decided to rain up and start fighting to protect your realm and get your fiancee to notice you as a serious love interest.
A lot of the game is spent with your character colleting the fragments of the tablet and trying to learn about why the war is happening, but no one will really give him any answers. You just ascend the dungeon trying to figure things out and then the most interesting thing in the game happens and you are on to part two. Honestly, if the translation was better I would praise this games delivery a lot. It never really sits you down for exposition, instead giving you pieces of the story as you go, enough to get the most of it by the end.
Gameplay
Being an action dungeon crawler, you run around hitting things with your weapon to level up and get gold. You have three weapon types to choose from. Single handed types are fast and probably the most reliable for stunning enemies. Two handed are slower but stronger. And you have bows which enemies seem to dodge the most. When your mouse is over an enemy you click to attack, or just press space. You can dance around enemies a bit to dodge and come in to hit, though about halfway into the game you will probably just end up standing in their faces and exchanging hits. You never get anything else to do in combat, though I’ve heard about a special attack, I never saw it.
You can turn in eight directions for movement though the game tends to make you face a main cardinal direction. The dungeon has a few traps and tricks, but luckily the map tells you about hidden rooms so navigating should not be a real issue. The game also has a neat auto walk feature, where if you click on a place you’ve been to on the map the game will walk you their. As long as you don’t get attacked you will take the shortest path. The game also gets rid of enemies on floors once you are strong enough, and gives you an item that teleports you to any square you’ve traveled on. The game gives you just enough for it to feel easy to travel around.
H Scenes and other stuff
Honestly, this is not a very pornographic game. It has tits and girls losing clothes(lots of this actually), but rarely is their actual sex of any kind. Your character just has this habit of cutting off girls clothing after beating them or interrupting others before they have sex. You do have sex with one girl, attempted sex with another, and a blowjob from a third. Every other scene or cg with nudity is from cutting clothing or another character trying to rape/have sex. I’ve heard this is due to when the game came out and censorship issues back then, but still. The actual few scenes that can be considered h scenes suffer from really bland writing and being very short. The writing thing is an issue for the entire game, and I’m not sure how much of that is the translation or the original game. The game’s text lacks character or quality, and can sometimes be outright confusing leading to some later plot points being muddled even when they are straight out told to you.
The actual game art is good and thanks to having monster humanoids fairly varied, but due to system issues with the game you will likely have to run this game on its worst settings to even get it playing, turning the dungeon into a mess of pixels that will give you a headache and the monsters just shapes of enemies. Oh, and none of the images are translated.
One last thing, the game has a weird tendency to have a single thing animated in cg’s. Like a flame in the background, or just a character blinking. Its kind of weird, and most of the time doesn’t really add anything.
Verdict and Save
I want to like this game, but is comes out as meh. The writing is a big part of it, but there’s also a number of small things. Like the five endings all being carbon copies of each other, or how only one of the heroines actually gets a proper sex scene. Or how after a while the gameplay becomes a joke with you just sitting there attacking and using healing items as needed, no need for dodging. Overall it’s alright, but I know it could have been better. The pieces are there, but all of them fail to make it great.
Save contains all cg’s/scenes available for replay and the music player unlocked.
