H Scene Count- 36
Created by Resta!, translated by Kagura Games
Length-2-3 hours. Maybe another for reading the porn or fighting bosses to get those scenes again.
Megaman esque game. Platforming levels with a blaster, gain special shots from bosses, jump and shoot. Very simple, pretty short.
Story
Resta is building something, it explodes. Checking on that, the robot she asks to fight the fire then changes into a sex obsessed robot mid conversation. A small girl tells you she did it, and your friend helps you find the source of the perversion waves that are turning the bots horny. Also cool robot stuff the two want to break down and see how it works.
Kind of weird that despite how creative oriented all three humans are in this, not a single conversation about the process of building anything. Resta really didn’t need to be a mechanic for this story to work. Her only actual “invention” is her gun which I think is also her wrench. And O2 mask.
It’s also not really a grand adventure when it’s all in one town.
Gameplay
Let’s start with unlocking the h scenes since that’s the main thing people who play this would want. Each boss has 6. 2 from losing. 2 from losing when they are hit by their weakness and enter enrage. 1 for killing them with the final boss’s weapon and 1 more from doing so while they are enraged. Enrage itself didn’t do much that I noticed. They move a bit faster and do more damage. Except the slime boss, she doubles in size. Dying gives you HP stuff and double damage powerups as you die more and more, so the game just stacks winning in your favor.
So as a Megaman style game, this is bad. You cannot change boss weapon until you beat all 4 main bosses. There are a total of 4 enemies in stages, with really only one having recolor versions. Resta herself is way to big and takes up a lot of the screen. To help with this the game will have the camera move a bit farther the direction she’s facing, but it doesn’t snap to her facing but instead lazily slides over after facing a direction for a bit. Oh, and keyboard controls are pretty bad, with basically RPG maker buttons + space to jump.
I would recommend just beating the entire game then go for scenes. The credits show you which boss is weak to what, throwing out even that phase of testing that is a natural part of the Megaman game cycle. Oh, and the game has a shop. You can buy stat ups, a double jump, and a charge speed up. Double jump is nice and is required for the true ending. Stat Ups I didn’t buy until I got all the lose scenes but would have helped with how often I got hit because Resta is so big and floaty. Charge up is garbage.
Charge shots are bad in this. They push you backward and do about 3 shots of damage. You shoot fast enough that you do more just spamming shots, so the charge shot is just a bad idea unless you are using the push back to dodge. Mid charge is fine though, no push back there. There’s also a dash that I basically never used. You need it in the tutorial and for a secret or two.
H and Other stuff
So each boss has a theme. Slime girl is inserting herself, Octo is tentacles, capsule dude is fluids and tentacles, and flying dude is taping stuff.
These themes get expanded on when you enrage them, such as one of them grows Resta a dick then masturbates it for her. Or Octo goes and tentacles the other main girl. The last scene for every boss is them using their base gimmick on the villain girl.
There’s also some yuri between Resta and her navigator, and navigator girl giving a nursing handjb to some shota bot they find. Which is the only consensual scene in the game really.
Scenes are very mindbreak heavy in that light silly way. Lots of aphrodisiacs and tentacle retraints. Not really a fan of losing to bosses on purpose in Megaman style stuff, kind of hurts to play poorly on purpose.
Not really my type of content. I like the two mains visually with their almost shortstack appearance, but the game is way more focused on asses then boobs. Unless it’s the villain, her ass is never the focus.
Verdict
A good attempt, but needs work. There’s a reason Megaman is so small in his games, I need to see the level. Having the boss weapons doesn’t do anything if I can’t change in level until I beat all 4 of them, which I hope was just an engine limit and not an on purpose decision. Also, talking in stages is bad. I get they wanted the comedy story stuff to happen, but there’s no flow to stop and talk every screen or two. Save that for bosses.
Megaman platformers in the porn space are rare, but this is a hard recommend outside of it’s porn if you are into it.
Save for Mechaneer Resta’s Grand Adventure
Contains- Full gallery, can play any stage.
Oh, it’s actually MegaMan styled? I thought it was just some generic platformer from the screenshots – an platformer H-games is often annoying because you basically have to get hit and play badly to get the H – why would they not show the Megaman stage select screen?
And yeah, seems kinda jank from that description – guess that’s why it’s mixed. Guess I’ll check it out a bit with your save, but with that gameplay, I don’t think I want to actually play the game seriously.
Also, any interest in checking out Demons Roots? Been making the rounds in several places. I 100%-ed it last month, was pretty fun to get 100%, though I used the Chinese guide as there’s a lot of non-obvious secrets and non-linear (in first playthrough) achievements. Gameplay was just ok (an early party member is kinda broken) but story was great.
I have an interest. I’ve just not been devoting to big projects recently while waiting for Mugen Souls to release. I have something of a fixation on what is one of the most censored games ever(before devs started cutting 80% of their nukige to get on Steam at least).
I’m not sure when I’ll get around to it, but I do intend to give it a shot at some point.
Mugen Souls… like, the PS3 game? Is there a new re-release coming to Steam or something? Was it originally as badly censored as Criminal Girls or something?
Also, played the game, it really doesn’t feel good play. The game feels sluggish, hitbox and movemnt doesn’t feel right, and the reading sections are legitimately worse than most Unity VNs. It’s just… bad.
Mugen Souls just got released on Switch completely uncensored. I’m going to do some slightly in depth research when i put up a post after finishing it, but from what I remember, 100 cgs were removed because the bathing minigame was basically axed from the Western release. This bonked the entire game’s stat system as you used that minigame to do a lot of the stat lifting rather leveling. This also made the Western release a worse game as the difficulty curve become a complete mess.
It’s basically the worst censorship job I’m aware of as it completely killed the games progression mechanics and ripped a majority of the cgs out.
