Due to how saves are handled in PS2 emulation, it’s easier to just bundle everything together. Namely, the saves are in a memory card file and not in a folder, so I can’t give away single game saves without wiping my emulator memory cards every game, which I don’t want to do. So, every game will be just listed here, and the save file will be for all of them.

I’m using ePSXe as my emulator. I’ll list the region of the game I played, since that’s important.

Ar Tonelico is taking to long, so for this week I’m going to talk about harem’s for a bit. Mainly becasue Harem Kingdom had a cool concept that it did fuck all with, and I want to talk about a subject that is super common, but is either talked about with derision or obsession from a point of view of someone who really doesn’t particularly care for harem’s either way. They can be good or infuriating.

Before talking about the main points though, I want to specify what I mean by harem. When it comes to the otaku space it can be used for a few different things, mainly when it comes to multiple potential love interests versus multiple actual love interests. I’m focusing on actually being together, as that is a bit rarer but more interesting. Most of what I say can apply to mixed harems or reverse harems, but I’m mostly focusing on the typical male lead and a bunch of cute girls as that is the most common type.

Just thought I’d muse over some backend stuff, mainly the complete confusion of trying to figure out what’s popular. Just looking at the views of different posts confuses me. It’s a constant feeling of why as I watch something I enjoy get 20-50 views while something random I did takes off for a couple hundred. I’m not salty. I swear.

A raising sim of sorts about your daily life with a girl in your apartment. Oh, and there are kaiju destroying the plant and the girl might have something to do with them.

This is a remake of a game I played a while ago. It’s now on RPG Maker MV, which means better image quality. It also changes up the end game and adds more h scenes to basically every girl, so it is worth a play even if you exhausted the original. I’m not going to go over all the same points from that post, so go here if you want to read about the combat and story.

This does one main thing different story wise. There’s this one girl going around and changing things up for your benefit early on. Her and the forces behind her are the new end game which I think does a good job giving this story a better final ending then the original. It also gave me Monster Girl Quest Paradox vibes for a bit, though this is much more just a remake then Paradox, which is a whole new game.

Scenes are the same theme, but instead of different variations each girl has two different lose scenes, one for each cg they have.

Save, like the original, has the whole gallery but not all achievements. Unlike the original there are actually 2 scenes the unlock all button doesn’t do, they don’t even have slots in the gallery to make it obvious they exist. Those are unlocked.

This is technically a repost of an old patreon game I finally went and finished. It’s supposedly 100% done, though there is numerous spots where character mention missing content. I’d just consider that humor at this point.

Patreon Renpy dating sim with a focus on 4th wall breaking comedy and exaggerated character design. The main male is basically hulk with a dick the size of a normal person’s arm and the ladies vary on the curvy and muscle spectrum but are mostly hovering high in curvy.

I always forgot when I started this project. Way back when I was serious about the name and only did RPG’s, and only one or two came out every 3 months. Back when I had a bunch of classics to take up my time that eventually all got done and so I moved on to other genres until we got to today…

Okay, that’s not what this post is really about, or more like that wasn’t in the plan, it just so happened I wanted to comment on the VN world and my blog anniversary was the same day. This week is stupid. I cannot remember a week before this were basically every company that matters released a thing on almost the same day.

Mangagamer- Trinoline Genesis- fandisc so basically a short moege with a heavy nukige focus, released on the 20th.

Nope Nope Nurses- A nukige about S&M basically, got held back the day before the 21st even though it was already out on their store and the DRM was already broken. Shiravune steam release.

KamiYaba- Shiravune new release, 21st. Moege or charage despite the nukige sounding name.

Kurokami-sama no Bansan- Jast release. All ages horror/mystery themed VN.

Seventh Sign-Mr. Sister- Sekai release, 18th. A short incest… Moege? Nukige? Not sure.

NinNin Days 2 and Vtuber Ramie- qureate and qureate’s publisher released these on the 20th on Steam. Fanservice focused shorter moege essentially.

Gyaru Gangbang- Cherry Kiss release, 18th. Nukige.

Hello Lady- 21st, Nekonyan release. Chunige.

Kagura Games released their new thing the week before, so really only Frontwing is missing for Janaury. What the hell happened here? Usually VN publishers avoid each other’s releases to an extent on account of the small costumer base. I know Shiravune is kind of big moneying their way through that, but every one else? Is this week a really big thing or something? The hell…

Anyway, that’s it. Just wanted to mention that.

2021 is over, and things in porn are… I’m not sure. A lot of VNs were brought over last year with some very big names finally making the jump, and more porn was released then ever before. Good RPG Maker translations felt rarer then before, probably becasue J->E translators are needed at an all time high. On the other hand, who knows when Shiravune’s release rate might die do to profits, more governments(specially that big Asian one) have been censor or control happy when it comes to limiting porn, and payment processors and alternatives have decided they get to decide what you can buy. Ecchi still exists, though rare or less then then before, and there is some promising games that came out last year. Hope some indies wow me this year, as they seem to be the best source nowadays. A few VNs that I have been looking forward to for years are nearing their release, and a smaller number of sequels to things in the H realm should be out some time this year.

So I kept track of game completion for the year of 2021, the totals are

Sure some of those are like 2 hours long, but a decent count was RPG’s or grindy things, so I think I did pretty well. Around 4-5 games a month.

An announcement of sorts, since something got announced that I wasn’t expecting. Mary Skelter 2 is finally getting a PC release. Now, unless it gets some new content, I’m going to ignore it. A rule from now on is that if I play a game for Switch and then it gets a port, if that port does not contain new content I’m not going to bother. With how easy Switch emulation is, I just don’t feel the need to replay something just for the sake of having the easiest version to share. I’m also getting tired of ignoring a few things simply becasue they haven’t been PC released yet. This will hold true for anything else that gets a port where if it doesn’t add something or visually improve it by a lot, I”m not going to bother. I don’t have the time.

Plans for the New Year

So this is basically what I intend to do in 2022 game wise. Since I basically play Vn’s and h games as they come, I won’t talk to much about them. I do want to catch up on one or two longer h games like a Venus or Eushully game, but who knows when. Sengoku Rance’s MG version update saves should be done early this year, not much left.

So my first goal of the year for ecchi is covering one new game for any game I’ve played with a series, which is a yearly goal for myself so that these get done. So basically the year is going to start with-

-Blazblue(Second one)

-Shantae(Risky’s Revenge)

-Senran Kagura(Shinovi, already playing this)

-Ryza 2

-Neptunia(Sister Gen and maybe one of the spinoffs to actually make some progress)

-Gal Gun 2

-Moero Crystal(want to time this for Halloween)

-Mary Skelter 3(cleaner then 1-2, but has a dlc that made me interested. Also quitting at entry 3 would feel silly.)

Which I think for total playtime amounts to like 300+ hours? I have like 4 a day… There are like 2-4 things that might jump the que but the above will be the focus.

Once those are done I want to do a block of games that are manga/anime series made into games. The standouts here are-

-Bleach

-Rosario Vampire

And maybe a few others. I don’t want this block to take most of the remaining year after the previous one so I’m not sure how full it should get. Planning things out when 70+% of translations are secret or jump wildly in progress is difficult to say the least. Especially when Shiravune announces a new title every two weeks for release in two weeks. It’s a great thing but man is it impossible to have a schedule.

I would also like to book a month for a Key binge, since all three of the remaining untranslated things should come out this year. This would consist of Little Busters, Kud Wafter, Rewrite, Harvest Festa, and Summer Pockets whatever the extended version is called. Basically the all ages stuff plus Kud. Key was a big part of my growth into anime so while I don’t love their more recent stuff nearly as much as I once loved Kanon and Clannad, I don’t dislike it either. Plus some all ages stuff should clear out my head… With how nukige heavy some releases are I need it every once in a while so I can enjoy the next one.
